Chasing The Sunset

Inspired By A Sunset

Version En Español

This past month, I have been focused on my work and just being busy, busy busy..including planning new work with my co-author on this blog, Clemencia who works in marketing in Colombia.  My whole reason to blog here at Mi Caminar is to receive inspiration mainly from moments that I take on my free time.

Going to the beach and watching sunsets are some of those activities I do to give me momentum to keep on moving forward in my dreams and personal projects. So after a month of not taking much time for myself, I finally took the plunge today on a beautiful sunny day and went to the beach.

I had so much to do, but I woke up in the morning, ignored my computer and escaped to the beautiful sunny day with my son. I relaxed, read a book and enjoyed watching some little girls in the water.  It was my moment to re-energize and just simply BE. After the beach, I was invited to a friends house for dinner, and on the way I stopped to take some pictures of the sunset.

The good thing was that my son was driving on the way to my friends house and I kept taking pictures of the beautiful sunset in different spots from the sun roof of my car. The more pictures I took, the more vivid the colors became. I was entranced and was feeling a God moment of experiencing the beauty of nature as it presented itself to me.

I didn’t care that my son thought that I was a lunatic, telling him to stop on side streets or stretching myself on op of the sun roof to catch a glimpse of the radiant colors of the sunset. So here is my slide show of those moments which transported me to a realm of peace and appreciation for the beauty that life offers.
