The day before Blogalicious weekend, I was invited by Ana Lilian Flores of Spanglish Baby to go to a party that VME hosted for the AHHA (Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies) conference held in Miami.

I was introduced to Ricardo Timmermann who is a host for one of VME’s shows, Mi Mascota. Before the interview, I shared my passion of watching the process of a caterpillar transforming to a cacoon and then to a butterfly, which to me is beyond inspiration. When I first started blogging over two years ago at my now inactive blog, Resurrect Your Hero, I was on crutches recovering from an ankle surgery. I was forced to stop everything so I could heal. I couldn’t imagine at the time that blogging would lead me into a new career in the Social Media realm. I was desperately hanging on by a thread in my work as a real estate broker.

Fast forward to now, and my life is completely turned around. I still maintain my real estate license, I don’t know why…maybe someone will hire me to broker a hefty deal which could give me a cushion to be able to have more time to write. But it is not in me anymore. Blogging and the new connections I have made through social media have become my new life. Luckily, my dermatologist brother has given me work as his Social Media Community Manager. …

This past month, I have been focused on my work and just being busy, busy busy..including planning new work with my co-author on this blog, Clemencia who works in marketing in Colombia.  My whole reason to blog here at Mi Caminar is to receive inspiration mainly from moments that I take on my free time.

Going to the beach and watching sunsets are some of those activities I do to give me momentum to keep on moving forward in my dreams and personal projects. So after a month of not taking much time for myself, I finally took the plunge today on a beautiful sunny day and went to the beach.
