Empowered Women’s Summit: Floating With The Vibe

You know the saying, “What comes up, must come down.” That’s the law of gravity.  Well, I am here to tell you that today I attended the Empowered Women’s Summit in Miami and all I can say is I am high as a kite. I am floating with effervescent energy of positivity from being around over 200 women who attended this conference today.

The panels were incredibly informative with tips and tools for a small business owner to take your business to the next level.  Some of the topics were branding, working with the media, elevating your public speaking, social media engagement and online marketing.  I have loads of video that I will be posting soon. And thank you Michelle Villalobos for putting together such a great event!

Hands Across the Sand Miami

This post is part of the MCAF Blog Carnival: A Mother’s Day Gift and this letter was written to my only son, Cristian, while on the beach recently…my favorite past time for peace and relaxation.

Dear Cristian,

I gaze out of this beautiful ocean and listen to the sound of the waves while the glistening sun shines upon me. The soft breeze sways against the palm trees while flapping the umbrella nearby. You are only 18, ready to take on life as an adult by preparing yourself for college this year.

As I lay here on this cozy lounge chair and breathe in the comforting air and soothing sounds of the water, I wonder if you will have the same available 20 or 30 years down the road. Statistically, I could still be alive by then ( and sure wish I am!)  Therefore, I long to continue enjoying this peaceful serenity until the end of my days. …
