\nA year ago, I launched this blog. I started it because my heart was calling me to write in Spanish to connect with my Colombian roots even though I \u00a0grew up in Miami and speak English 80% of the time. Two of the people that inspired me to start this blog were two people I love dearly, my mother and my cousin, Clemencia.<\/p>\n

My first blog post was Feliz Cumplea\u00f1os Mama<\/a>. I have learned in my walk in life to follow my heart 100% and I am happy that coincidently I launched the blog\u00a0\u00a0on September 8th, my mom’s birthday and which was a total coincidence. In this past year, I have had the opportunity to connect deeper with my mother, not only as a daughter, but as a friend.<\/p>\n

She has had a great mission in life to be the most amazing mother in the world. Having a mother like her is better than winning the lottery. I am much more complete by having been inspired by her and perhaps because of the example she has been, I have been able to pass on those same nurturing qualities to my son.<\/p>\n

The name, Mi Caminar, \u00a0was chosen by her, whose name is also Blanca. So if this blog continues for many years to come, I will always remember my mom as a big part of the birth of this blog which is still in baby step mode, but with a little love, hopefully will continue to grow. I \u00a0want to thank my cousins in Colombia, Clemencia and Jorge, who helped me to continue in this project during a crazy year of changes in my life.<\/p>\n

I also want to thank my friends at \u00a0Latism for being such a great support and inspiration. It is because of all this love I have received from so many people that I will continue to be inspired to share many words from my heart and which I feel are ready to explode!:)<\/p>\n
