In the past, I have done other kinds of videos interviewing people, but this was a little different. I don&#8217;t know why, since I am in a lot of pictures from being a somewhat social media butterfly. I guess it&#8217;s because this video was focused on just me. I thought, &#8220;Who the heck am I to give tips on exercise when there are so many other people doing the same thing and <em>much, much<\/em> younger?&#8221; But hey, it&#8217;s my blog and it&#8217;s something I have been wanting to share because eating healthy and exercising are a very big part of my life and I have been doing it for over 30 years!<\/p>\n<p>And I hope that at middle age, if you are there or not, you can strive to stay healthy for a lifetime besides \u00a0keeping a clear positive mind and incorporating meditation to experience peace. Those three aspects body, mind and spirit need to be balanced for a happy and fulfilled life.<\/p>\n<p>I want to show <em>every day fitness<\/em> because my body is not perfect as it ages. Knock on wood, I am in good health. I can imagine it is difficult for some people to exercise and lose weight because of health reasons. I have alot of compassion for anyone that is struggling with any health issue.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I know how easy it is to make excuses to not go to the gym because about a year and a half ago, I felt like I had lost my exercise mojo for the first time in over 30 years. I found myself making silly excusese that I would never have before, ie. &#8220;I&#8217;m tired, I&#8217;m lazy, I&#8217;m not in the mood, I have to do xyz, etc.&#8221; On and on, it was so easy to find excuses, where before I would stop everything and go to the gym or do the hand weights at home. And to top it off, during that time, I even stopped my home workouts! Actually, I begged him to push me out of the house. It was that bad. He is 21 and works out regularly at the gym. And boy, what an ordeal it was getting used to the weights again and feeling that burn in the muscles. At least, muscle remembers and they started appearing again. Whew! Today, I just want to inspire you to get your body moving just a little. I now go to the gym regularly, but also have some home weights \u00a0when I don&#8217;t have time to the gym. Usually, I spend about 15 to 30 minutes \u00a0doing home workouts. Sometimes more depending on how many times I have gone to the gym in that week. \u00a0I also have a yoga mat and do situps and other floor exercises for the lower body \u00a0and a pilates reformer. You can incorporate these simple exercises with some cardiovascular by walking around the neighborhood and little by little expand to more exercises. The key is to start and never look back and never make an excuse. Think of exercise like brushing your teeth, something you do every day.
