Motivaci\u00f3n Con Lulu – Espa\u00f1ol<\/a>
\nI am so happy to share this story about Lulu, a 100 year old woman, or shall I say 100 years young! \u00a0I have known Lulu for many years because she is the mother of my uncle’s wife. \u00a0I mostly see her at holidays and when I do, I am always amazed of her vibrant personality full of peace, wisdom, humor and clear thought. \u00a0When you hang around her for a bit, somehow you end up feeling better even if she is just giving you a look with a beautiful smile.<\/p>\n

Lulu played tennis and basketball when she was younger, widowed in 1955, has two daughters, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She always has done regular exercise routines at home, but at 99 years old, she joined the gym. (Is your jaw dropping already?) She also has a sister that is 102 in Colombia and another sister who died at 106. She is the youngest of 14 children.<\/p>\n

When my cousin told me last year that Lulu was regularly going to the gym, I was intrigued. This year I turned 50 and at the same time, I quit my gym membership to save some money. I was a runner for over 20 years before 2002 and have always been big on exercising. I didn’t start a regular gym program until I was 40, so I could work on maintaining the muscle tone on my upper body. \u00a0After a certain age, you have to keep it up or else the arms will start jiggling more than I care to.<\/p>\n

Although I quit the gym, I do exercise at home on a bike, pilates and hand weights. But I lost my mojo a bit from changing my regular routine, and turning 50 kind of hit me, much more so than turning 40.<\/p>\n

After being with Lulu for a whole day last week, all those thoughts of aging are out the window! Lulu makes her own affirmations and thinks she is 58. \u00a0See? I have to start thinking I am 28 and be OK with the few wrinkles that are starting to creep up on me. Oh and by the way, Lulu’s skin is pristine. I think the brand she uses should hire her as a model. I will be posting more video about how Lulu does exercises for memory, her deep spiritual side and \u00a0so much more.<\/p>\n

I tried really hard to make this first segment of Lulu exercising to \u00a03 minutes. \u00a0But, you would have missed the experience I had of being in awe of her energy. My mom was there with us and was dumbfounded too. So since it is New Year’s Day, use this video as your motivation to exercise and feel younger!<\/p>\n

I promise you, this video of this beautiful 100 year old woman is for real <\/em>and is\u00a0what she has been doing regularly for 1 1\/2 years. \u00a0My own cousin, Claudia, who takes her to the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays says she is spoiled by being with her all the time and forgets sometimes how unusual this is.<\/p>\n

I would love it if you would post your comments or other questions for Lulu here. She was such good sport to be interviewed and was thanking me. Can you believe it? I swear this woman is a true angel on this earth. Those were the words my mom used and now my mom is going to start exercising more after seeing Lulu too. What about you?<\/p>\n
