What happens when you are confronted with a situation that requires actually letting go of someone you once considered a friend? It’s painful, right? This has happened to me with several people in the last couple of years and I do believe it was necessary for all of our growths. I am referring to platonic friendships in this case, not romantic relationships. When you are in a marriage or a committed intimate relationship, I believe a lot more effort should be made to work things out.

Leer en Español: Pensamientos Y Desafios En La Vida

In friendships, there is an opportunity to grow together with good harmonious and open communication. But what if that communication doesn’t happen? Or what if that communications is a constant struggle? In this case, I believe it is necessary to let go so each person can live whatever they need to do on their own individual path. If you are growing in a certain way, and the other person has no connection at all with what you are doing or remotely interested in you, your projects or what is currently going on in your life, then why keep holding on?

Letting go is painful and difficult, but it can also be very freeing. You never know if by the act of letting go, it might bring back a fuller friendship later with that person you let go…or it may not. Always let go by sending love to the person and wishing them well.

We each have our own individual journey’s to take. Hopefully they are exciting adventures filled from the heart. I feel sometimes my life takes many winding dizzying turns, some great, some not so great. But with a clear mind, a quiet heart, I hope to continue in the paths that lead me to greater peace- even amidst a challenge like letting go of an old friend.

Life is never going to be complete peace anyway. Being able to be in peace amidst the noise is the key. Sometimes I get caught up in a lot of noise and way too much busy-ness. This past Sunday, on Easter, I took the time to unwind by sitting quietly outside on a balcony writing the draft of this blog post. I had a nice sunset view, heard some birds chirp, felt the sun on my shoulders and the heard the sound of a water fountain in the background. That brought me peace.

If I continue to do more of this, hopefully I can get more of my writing mojo back. I started the year with all intentions to blog every week, but too much noise got in the way…losing the flow of my inspired writing.. But here I am….continuing in Mi Caminar... my walk. I shall not go away for too much longer. Sending you some peace down your journey.

On another note, in case you are wondering what I have been up to, in the past year I have been working as a Community Manager for Microsoft Fuselabs research project called Socl.
