Dear Cristian,

I gaze out of this beautiful ocean and listen to the sound of the waves while the glistening sun shines upon me. The soft breeze sways against the palm trees while flapping the umbrella nearby. You are only 18, ready to take on life as an adult by preparing yourself for college this year.

As I lay here on this cozy lounge chair and breathe in the comforting air and soothing sounds of the water, I wonder if you will have the same available 20 or 30 years down the road. Statistically, I could still be alive by then ( and sure wish I am!)  Therefore, I long to continue enjoying this peaceful serenity until the end of my days. …

Earth Day: A Reminder To Appreciate The Beauty

Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22nd this year, is a “a day that is intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for the  Earth’s natural environment, according to Wikipedia. And today, a group of over 80 Latina Lifestyle bloggers are synchronizing their blog posts to contribute to the awareness of this beautiful earth we live in in a Tweet Chat.

The first tweet chat, scheduled for Wednesday April 20th from 4:00 p.m. PST/7:00 p.m. EST to 5:00 p.m. PST – 8 p.m. EST; celebrates the group launch and focuses on “Earth Day,” with hash-tag #LLBlog. Participating group members will also post their Earth Day themed blogs in the morning to showcase the Latina Lifestyle blog content diversity.

Start with what you want, dear God.

But I ask you for faith to look at you in everything, hope that I don’t fail  and perfect charity in everything that I do, think and want.

Each moment, I want to love you more and wish the same for those that surround me.

I wish to have my heart alert, the ear attentive, my hands and my mind active and my feet available.

Spill your grace, dear God and especially to those I love.
