Life Is A Journey

I took this picture of a young girl rowing when I was at the beach yesterday. I used the metaphor of her rowing as a metaphor of how we need to keep moving forward in our life and how important it is to pay attention where we are at in our journey. Change is good as long as we pay attention where we are going.

Lately I have been stressed with trying to get so much work done and managing my digital agency, VizRED which was launched in January, plus all the nuances that require to run a small business. So yesterday I really needed a #chillbreak and I treated myself to some peace and quiet. My creative juices also got flowing by playing around with my different Iphone apps and I woke up more energized today:) How about you? What do you do to take a #chillbreak?

I’m Going to The White House With Top Latina Bloggers ~ Humbled!

This week I wanted to write a post for Mother’s Day, but I was tired and took the weekend to relax offline.  After all, this blog name, Mi Caminar, came from mom when I asked her for an idea of a name. So besides birthing me, my mom also has a bit of the birthing of Mi Caminar. Blogging is like birthing a new baby. For me it was birthing a new life. My mom also shares the same name as me, Blanca.

I wrote this paragraph in my Blanca’s story page.

Because I have lived so many life challenges, my intention with this site is motivate & inspire by taking action from the heart,  and  to look at all the blessings that exist in the middle of chaos and keep on moving on! My strength now comes from my heart and the dreams that I hold in this now strengthened heart.  I don’t let logic control me 100%. I try to keep it 50:50 ;-) …or as Buddha would say…in balance. I already know that sometimes illogical things happen out of the blue when you least expect it.

Today I witnessed the first ever Google +1 hangout with key leaders of Latino organizations encouraging Latino’s to get out and vote, make a difference and to help others get informed about the tools and information that is on these organizations websites.

This event was organized by Elianne Ramos, the Co-Chair of Latism.org, the largest Hispanic online voice and was the first of its kind. The leaders of the various non-profits who are actively involved in supporting and informing the Latino voice is very powerful: …

Blogging From My Droid Razr

Wordpress Dashboard from the Droid Razr

As a Verizon Ambassador (tiny.cc/VZWA), I have been reviewing the new Droid Razr for a couple of weeks. Some of the features that I love are speed, screen size and lightness. At the moment, I am blogging from the Razr by logging in directly from the browser. I tried using a WordPress App, but becuase I have extra security settings on my website, it didn’t let me log in that way.

So why do I love this? Because it is Sunday. I have been in lazy mode for the past couple of hours, catching up with my friends Facebook streams and the last thing I want to do right now is go sit on my computer.

Most of my inspiration comes from early morning thoughts before I get up out of bed, at the beach, or on a lazy Sunday like today. And inspiration is so fleeting..if I don’t get those words down in that particular moment, they are lost in the wind.
So I am looking forward to test out some more blog posts this way. Besides that surfing the web, and clicking exterior links that friends share is super fast. That way I can enjoy my friend’s inspirations and that makes me a happy camper.

Note: I couldn’t upload the pictures from the browser, so I did upload from the desktop. I will need to figure it out later, but for now on this lazy Sunday, I am off to watch the Oscars!
