Faith

Definition of God by Rob Bell, Elizabeth Gilbert & Iyanla Vanzant

This video answers questions to three Trailblazers at the event of how they define God: Rob Bell, Elizabeth Gilbert and Iyanla Vanzant.

Rob Bell says that God is like a song and you hear it, but it is in a room where he has to get in. And the more closely you listen, you realize the song is playing in the whole house. And you want to turn up the volume in the whole house because it makes your soul soar. For him, it begins in the little every day moments and that spirituality is the awareness that there is more going on. He goes on to say that the moment you prove something, then it is wrong. You have to experience it to be real.

Feeling Peace and Bliss In Chaos

Peace-and-bliss

So where do I start? As I said in my last post, I wanted to share some stories  that I haven’t shared on this blog when I had my own near death experience, also known as my peace and bliss in chaos in 2002. In the story of the boy in the movie, Heaven is For Real, he said he want to heaven, saw Jesus and the angels and came back. It was a vivid visual experience.

My story is a bit different because I am not as visual. Have you heard of the different kinds of senses we all have? There is clairvoyance (visual), clairaudience (hearing) and clairsentience (feeling). Most of my life, I have been more of the “feeling” type. It’s kind of like the gut feelings. You can’t describe it, but you just kind of know.

I also have sensitivities in hearing, like when I get inspired when I am at the beach and sit down with pad and paper and some really nice words spill out. It doesn’t happen as much anymore because I am so busy working and some of my work includes technical things which make me utilize my left brain a lot. …

The Prayer, The Mindset & Physical Discipline Of A 101 Year Old

The prayer that Lulu says every day as she greets each day is this:

Another leaf of my life turns its page.

What will this new day bring me?

Start with what you want, dear God.

But I ask you for faith to look at you in everything, hope that I don’t fail  and perfect charity in everything that I do, think and want.

Each moment, I want to love you more and wish the same for those that surround me.

I wish to have my heart alert, the ear attentive, my hands and my mind active and my feet available.

Spill your grace, dear God and especially to those I love.

My love covers the whole world and although I am so small, I know that you grace me with your immense goodness. …

Our Lady Of Charity Brings Us Peace

Our Lady of Charity at Ermita De La Caridad Church in Miami, FL

Version en Español

Happy Birthday Virgin Mary.
Happy one year anniversary, Mi Caminar.
Happy Feast Day to all the Cubans for the celebration of the Our Lady of Charity and to the Venezuelan community who also celebrate today the Virgin of Coromoto.  And finally, Happy Birthday to those that have been born on this beautiful day, September 8th.

All these celebrations are one more reason to have Maria always near us.

For the Cubans who live outside or that reside there, She has been their confort and hope that one day their country may soon be free.  Their journey has been very painful by not being able to see parents, sons and daughters, sisters and brothers in this oppressed country for so many years. But the Cuban people are a culture of great tenacity, full of faith, hope and love for their Virgin of Charity. The same could possibly happen to the the Venezuelans. …
